Sirius XM Stupidity

Those who follow this blog know I have been a huge fan of Sirius since 2005 and supported the merger to form Sirius XM. My lease came up on my car and the new one came with XM pre-installed. What a shock to discover that over a year since the merger I was unable to add the radio at a reduced rate like I would get if it was a Sirius radio pre-installed. Their systems are still seperate and the only option they gave me was pay full price for a new XM subscription. I am taking the three month free trial but it is up to Sirius XM if I remain a customer after that.

Digi-Novel

Anthony E. Zuiker (creator CSI) was on Craig Ferguson promoting his new book that is a “Digi-Novel” - each chapter has a code at the end that can be entered on a website to view a movie that bridges the chapters… these show what the characters saw, for example. The book (Level 26: Dark Origins) can also be bought as an iPhone app that has the book and the movies all incorporated. Very clever thinking to extend books in new ways.

Wow… Philip Bloom’s Venice’s People: Canon 7D 24p. Short piece made entirely with the 7D and a mic mounted to top of camera.

(By the way it’s Venice beach so don’t crank the volume with the kiddies around)

DirecTV started using dead celebs with Chris Farley but these ads may be talking it too far :)
